BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. The polls have closed in Moldova’s presidential election, TurkicWorld reports.
Voting stations across the country closed at 9:00 PM local time.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) reported a voter turnout of 1,553,234, or 51.51%.
By 11:00 PM local time, the CEC had processed 54.75% of the ballots. Preliminary results show that the current president, Maia Sandu, is leading with 35.88% of the vote.
