BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 16. This is the second time France has conducted all-out attacks on activists demanding their national rights, the head of the sector of the Social Research Center of Azerbaijan, expert Tural Ismayilov told TurkicWorld
He noted that France's repression against human rights activists once again demonstrates the duplicity of this country, which claims about justice and human rights.
"To this day, activists protesting against arbitrariness, injustice, and lawlessness in French colonies are subjected to total repression and persecution by France. Unfortunately, several political centers in the world turn a blind eye to these attacks and to the illegal actions committed by France. The arrest of political activist Kemi Seba, who opposes France's colonial policy, and the silence of the world's human rights organizations in response to this demonstrates their hypocrisy," he said.
An international conference on the policy of French neo-colonialism in Africa was held on October 3 under the organization of the Baku Initiative Group. Kemi Seba took part in the conference.
To note, Kemi Seba is known as one of the leaders symbolizing the movement for African independence, sovereignty, and struggle against neo-colonial powers. He is also one of the main critics of French neocolonialism. Kemi Seba was born in 1981 in Strasbourg. France blacklisted him for openly and strongly criticizing and denouncing the damage caused by France's nefarious colonial policies to African countries as well as overseas territories still under French control.
France arrested Kemi Seba several times to silence him but, failing to do so, stripped him of his French citizenship in an attempt to subject him to exile.
