BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 24. The four villages of Gazakh district, which came under Azerbaijani control, are quite heavily contaminated with mines, the chairperson of the Board of the Azerbaijan Republic Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) Vugar Suleymanov told TurkicWorld
The chairman noted that demining works are currently underway in these villages.
"Unfortunately, there is quite a high level of contamination in these territories. Mainly anti-personnel mines are found. The number of mines in Gazakh is quite high; the statistics change daily," Suleymanov emphasized.
