BAKU. Azerbaijan. August 31. An exhibition of works by artists from the RAK Art Foundation of Bahrain opened in Baku, TurkicWorld reports.
The event was attended by Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, the founder of the RAK Art Foundation, renowned Bahraini artist and collector Rashid Al Khalifa said that he was pleased to share the talents of Bahraini artists with art lovers in Azerbaijan. He stressed that the RAK Art Foundation promotes international cooperation and mutual understanding.
Rashid Al Khalifa added that the aim of this collaboration is to introduce the rich works of Bahraini artists to the colourful art scene of Baku.
Chairman of "Azerkhalcha" OJSC Emin Mammadov noted in his speech that cooperation with Rashid Al Khalifa and RAK Art Foundation contributes to the development of art, international friendship and cultural understanding. He said he was very pleased with the display of Bahraini contemporary art in Baku and hoped that this event would further expand the opportunities for cooperation between our countries.
It should be noted that several exhibitions of Rashid Al Khalifa were previously organized at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
