Azerbaijan's Khankendi hosts working group meeting on economic issues

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. The regular meeting of the working group on economic issues under the Interdepartmental Center of the Coordination Headquarters established for centralized solution of issues in the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation was held in the city of Khankendi, TurkicWorld reports, referring to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Following the directives of the head of state, Elnur Aliyev, the first deputy minister of economy and head of the working group, provided information on the execution of intricate plans, extensive reconstruction, and building endeavors, including infrastructure projects for the development of the liberated territories.

Moreover, it was observed that the work done in the occupied territories has made it easier to attract investors and speed up economic recovery. This is due to a number of factors, such as tax and customs privileges, easier access to capital for entrepreneurs, reduced social insurance premiums, and other advantages. These factors will all work together to promote private initiatives, foster public-private partnerships, and boost investment in the region. Incentives will help make the most of society's economic and social potential, which includes things like creating jobs, boosting productivity and competitiveness in the workplace, enhancing the caliber of human capital, and fostering the growth of sectors that rely heavily on scientific knowledge.

The Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Khankendi City, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts Elchin Yusubov informed about the restoration and reconstruction of infrastructure in residential areas, the return of population, and the employment process.

Moreover, it was noted that the region has favorable opportunities for entrepreneurial activity in various directions, and businessmen can take full advantage of them. It was emphasized that in the city of Khankendi and adjacent districts, various projects are implemented by businessmen, and these projects mainly employ the returning population.

At the event, the other members of the working group showcased the efforts of the organizations they represent in facilitating the economic reintegration of the freed lands.

During the meeting, important directives were provided to accelerate the economic revival of the occupied territories, make the region more appealing to investors, and ensure sustainable employment.
