BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 1. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held meetings with his counterparts from Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Bishkek.
According to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also arrived at the summit venue for the second day of the gathering.
The meetings focused on bilateral relations and regional developments during the SCO summit, which brought together officials from member and partner countries.
Earlier, Araghchi held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the summit.
The Iranian delegation’s diplomatic engagements in Bishkek come amid efforts to strengthen regional cooperation and expand political dialogue with key partners.
Further details about the topics discussed during Araghchi’s meetings were not immediately disclosed.
