IRGC claims missile strike destroyed US F-35 jets at Jordan's al-Azraq airbase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 30. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it destroyed three US F-35 fighter jets during a missile strike on Jordan's al-Azraq Air Base, according to a statement carried by the state-affiliated Fars News Agency.

The IRGC said the attack was launched in response to what it described as a US strike on Qeshm Island that killed two parents and their child.

According to the statement, IRGC aerospace forces fired several ballistic missiles at a ramp and maintenance facility at al-Azraq Air Base, which it said hosts US F-35 aircraft.

The IRGC claimed the strike completely destroyed three F-35 fighter jets and caused heavy damage to three others. It also alleged that several military officers, technicians and maintenance personnel were killed.

The statement further declared that operations against US forces would continue until "the last American occupier is expelled from the Islamic lands."

The United States and Jordan had not immediately commented on the IRGC's claims.
