BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. On April 27, 2026, within the framework of the working visit of the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, to the city of Gaziantep (Türkiye), a meeting was held with the Mayor of the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Mrs. Fatma Şahin, TurkicWorld reports.
The parties discussed opportunities for long-term cooperation in the areas of preserving, promoting, and transmitting the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world to future generations.
During the meeting, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova provided information about the Foundation’s international projects, carried out in line with its mission to pass on the heritage of the Turkic world to future generations, including the Anthology of Turkic Folklore and initiatives aimed at the digitalization of cultural heritage.
Expressing her gratitude for the warm hospitality, the President of the Foundation noted that Gaziantep’s strong institutional capacity and international experience in the field of cultural heritage preservation constitute a valuable basis for partnership with the organization.
Mrs. Fatma Şahin highly appreciated the activities of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation aimed at strengthening the unity of the Turkic world and promoting shared roots on the international stage. She emphasized that the Foundation’s projects play an important role in preserving cultural memory and affirmed Gaziantep’s readiness to always act as a reliable partner in this important mission.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint efforts to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest and to implement concrete projects.
