"AzerGold" Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) organized an awareness event titled "Rules of Conduct during emergencies and rescue operations" with the participation of experts from the Baku Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES). The primary objective of the event was to enhance emergency preparedness among employees, prevent potential accidents, and ensure the staff is about the rules of behavior during emergencies,TurkicWorld reports.
During the training, MES specialists delivered comprehensive presentations on vital topics, including safe behavior during earthquakes, protection methods against carbon monoxide, and fire safety protocols. Employees were shown various types of personal protective equipment used by rescuers, such as protective suits and gas masks, and received practical instructions on their application in extreme conditions. Additionally, participants were taught basic rescue skills and methods for providing assistance to victims.
The event, which continued in an interactive format, included a Q&A session where MES staff addressed employees' inquiries. The practical phase of the event involved a simulated fire drill; upon the alarm signal, MES firefighting teams arrived at the scene within the designated timeframe. Following the evacuation plan, personnel were safely moved from the building where the simulated fire occurred, and employees remaining in the building were successfully rescued in accordance with the training plan.
It should be noted that, in line with occupational health and safety standards, "AzerGold" CJSC ensures the regular organization of such educational initiatives to maintain high safety awareness among its workforces.
