On April 7, 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA), marking the beginning of a strategic partnership in the fields of education, science, and culture.
The document, signed by the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, and the Rector of the International Educational Corporation, Mrs. Margarita Imandosova, represents a significant step toward strengthening international dialogue and expanding academic and cultural ties within the Turkic world.
The key highlight of the event was the official opening of the Center of Turkic Culture and Heritage at the Faculty of Architecture of the IEC (KazGASA). Established under the auspices of the Foundation, the new Center will serve as a unique platform for the comprehensive study, promotion, and preservation of the centuries-old cultural heritage of Turkic peoples. It will host educational initiatives, research programs, international projects, and cultural outreach activities.
It is especially noteworthy that this is already the second such Center established in Kazakhstan, reflecting the growing interest in the spiritual and material heritage of the Turkic civilization and Kazakhstan’s increasingly prominent role in this cultural revival.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of the Foundation Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova emphasized that the International Educational Corporation, as a leading architectural and construction university in the region, holds great potential for promoting Turkic cultural values through the lenses of architecture, urbanism, and design. “We attach particular importance to joint initiatives in the fields of restoration, reconstruction, and museification,” she noted. “These areas open up broad opportunities for the revival and preservation of the material heritage of the Turkic World and contribute to the strengthening of historical memory, cultural identity, and intergenerational dialogue”.
Aktoty Raimkulova also held a master class for students of the Faculty of Architecture, during which she shared modern approaches to cultural heritage preservation and presented the key initiatives and projects implemented by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. The students showed great interest in learning about the Foundation’s activities, its international programs, research projects, and opportunities to engage in cultural startups.
The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation will continue to implement large-scale projects aimed at unlocking the cultural potential of the Turkic peoples and building sustainable humanitarian bridges between countries and communities.
