Austrian or Swedish version of neutral state in Ukraine under discussion - Russian official

Baku. TurkicWorld:

An Austrian or Swedish version of a demilitarized state in Ukraine is currently being discussed and can be seen as a compromise, Russia's Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters, TurkicWorld reports citing TASS.

Earlier, Russia's Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky noted that Kyiv at the talks proposed to create an Austrian or Swedish version of a demilitarized state in Ukraine. In this regard, journalists asked if the Kremlin was satisfied with this option of demilitarization.

"This option is under discussion now and can be regarded as a certain compromise," Peskov replied.

The situation around Ukraine can be improved by reaching agreements at the negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations, he added.
