KHOJALY, Azerbaijan, September 27. The remembrance of the martyrs was honored in Khojaly district on the occasion of September 27 - the Day of Remembrance, TurkicWorld Karabakh bureau reports.
According to the information, the ceremony was attended by senior officials of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Khankendi City, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, as well as other state structures operating in these territories, teachers, students, and pupils.
The bright memory of the martyrs was honored with a minute of silence.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that the state of Azerbaijan highly appreciates the bravery of its sons and daughters who participated in the Second Karabakh War and honors the heroic memory of all martyrs.
To note, according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020, Azerbaijan annually celebrates Remembrance Day on September 27 as a sign of deep respect for Azerbaijani soldiers and officers who heroically fought in the second Karabakh War and gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
