The source noted that in connection with the Day of Remembrance, First Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Chairmen Ziyafat Asgarov, Rafael Huseynov, Musa Gasimli, committee chairmen of the Parliament, MPs, Head of the Parliament Administration Farid Hajiyev, deputy heads of the administration, department heads, and the Administration of Affairs visited the Victory Park under construction in Baku.
The parliament staff and MPs laid flowers at the memorial stone at the entrance to Victory Park and honored the bright memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Motherland.
According to the decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 2, 2020, Azerbaijan annually celebrates Remembrance Day on September 27 as a sign of deep respect for Azerbaijani soldiers and officers who heroically fought in the 44-day Second Karabakh War and gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
