PARIS, France, August 9. The Azerbaijan Olympic House, operating in Paris as part of the XXXIII Summer Olympics, has hosted a meeting celebrating the victories of Azerbaijani athletes, TurkicWorld reports.
The meeting participants welcomed takwondo fighter Gashim Magomedov and Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov, who won silver and bronze medals at the Olympics, with applause and expressed pride in them.
The event gathered members of the Azerbaijani Olympic team, Olympic and world champions, official representatives of various countries, athletes representing Azerbaijan at the Olympic Games and their coaches, representatives of the local public and the Azerbaijani diaspora, and reporters.
The guests included the Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo, a two-time Olympic champion in Paris, who shared his impressions of the victory with the Azerbaijani athletes.
To note, the Olympics will end on August 11.
