Global travelers kick off visit to Azerbaijan's Karabakh

FUZULI, Azerbaijan, July 25. The visit of an extended delegation of 35 people to Karabakh, including the head of one of the four largest travel clubs in the world, the MTP (Most Traveled People) travel club, began today, TurkicWorld 's Karabakh bureau reports.

According to information, the delegation is headed by Charles Veley, whose name was included in the top 10 list of world travelers, international travelers from 13 countries ( US, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Philippines, Poland, Hungary and others) joined the trip.

Previously members of the MTP (Most Traveled People) club visited Karabakh and East Zangezur 3 times, this is the 4th visit of its members to the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation.

About 400 international travelers in large groups from nearly 50 countries have visited Karabakh and East Zangezur 10 times during the 4 years since the second Karabakh war. Today's trip is the 11th.

The founder and head of the MTP (Most Traveled People) travel club, American traveler Charles Veley also participated a few days ago in the II Shusha Global Media Forum on "Combating Disinformation." At this forum, he emphasized the role of international travelers in exposing "fake news", explaining the stark difference between the false information about Karabakh presented in several foreign media outlets and what he sees on the ground.

MTP's trip will last three days. The delegation's visit to Karabakh started from Fuzuli. Today international travelers will visit Khojavand, Shusha, Khankendi, and Aghdam, and tomorrow they will go to Eastern Zangezur. On the last day of the trip, the delegation will visit Zangilan and Jabrayil.
