The EU Political and Security Committee confirmed the appointment of Magdalena Grono as EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia, TurkicWorld reports.
As the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU reported, the nomination will be formally confirmed by the Council of the EU.
Magdalena Grono will succeed Toivo Klaar in this post. Klaar has served as EUSR for the South Caucasus and Georgia since November 13, 2017.
