We must make great efforts to preserve peace in the Turkic world and the Caucasus - President Ilham Aliyev

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15.President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has called for greater joint efforts to preserve peace and stability in the Turkic world and the Caucasus amid the expansion of armed conflicts in different regions.

The President made the remarks during a meeting with participants of international conferences in Baku.

“We see that many countries are already involved in confrontations in different regions. These are no longer conflicts simply between two countries,” Ilham Aliyev said.

The head of state noted that an increasing number of countries are becoming actively involved in such confrontations, while the geographical scope of bloody clashes continues to expand.

Against this background, President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of protecting the Turkic world and the Caucasus from instability and preventing conflicts from spreading to these regions.

“Therefore, each of us must make great efforts to keep the Turkic world and the Caucasus region at peace and to preserve that peace,” the President emphasised.
