BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 10. The registration of insured persons with the insurer will be carried out only through the personal identification number (FIN) in Azerbaijan,TurkicWorld reports.
This is reflected in the amendments to the Labor Code, the laws "On individual registration in the state social insurance system" and "On labor pensions" signed by President Ilham Aliyev.
According to the document, when issuing a social insurance number (SSN), it's linked to the FIN of the person's identity card in electronic systems.
When hiring, insurers will no longer need to request the SSN from insured persons with a social insurance number or learn the social insurance number in any other way.
The law will come into force on July 1.
