President Ilham Aliyev lays foundation for engineering faculty at Karabakh University in Khankendi

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 23. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, laid the foundation for the new building of the Engineering Faculty at Karabakh University in Khankendi on December 23, TurkicWorld reports.

The head of state was briefed on the modern facilities and resources that will be available in the new building.

The Engineering Faculty at Karabakh University is a key academic unit aimed at training innovative and application-oriented engineering professionals to meet modern technological challenges. The faculty currently employs 19 professors, administrative and technical staff, and educates 314 students.

At the undergraduate level, the faculty offers seven programs, including electrical and electronics engineering, civil engineering, mechatronics and robotics, logistics and transportation technologies, computer engineering, data analytics, and mathematics. Additional engineering specializations are planned for the future to expand opportunities for students and meet evolving technological demands.

The new building will be constructed according to modern standards and is expected to be completed quickly. It will include classrooms, laboratories, a library, and research and innovation spaces designed to enhance students’ theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and innovative activities.

The project will significantly contribute to the development of engineering education, promote the application of modern academic content and innovative teaching methods, and support the comprehensive development of students within a cutting-edge higher education environment.
