BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. Azerbaijan has extended the exemption from value-added tax (VAT) on the import and sale of second- and third-level electric vehicle chargers from 3 to 5 years, TurkicWorld reports.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev approved the law "On Amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
The new law extends the VAT exemption period, originally set to end on January 1, 2025, by two years.
Notably, the VAT exemption for these chargers has been in place since January 1, 2022, for an initial 3-year period.
