Kabar. The ministries of culture of Kyrgyzstan and Italy plan to sign an agreement on cooperation in film production, the press service of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Italy Taalay Bazarbaev discussed this issue at a meeting with the head of the international department of the National Association of Digital Cinema and Audiovisual Industry of Italy (ANICA) Roberto Stabile. The parties intend to show Italian films and TV programs in Kyrgyzstan, hold joint film festivals, and organize internships for directors and actors from Kyrgyzstan in Italian film schools.

To implement the initiatives, the parties agreed to organize a visit of the leadership of the Italian Ministry of Culture to Kyrgyzstan this year to sign a cooperation agreement. Roberto Stabile also expressed his readiness to fly to Bishkek during this month and meet with the leadership of the Department of Cinematography of Kyrgyzstan.
