Bishkek, March 16, 2023. /Kabar/. An event was held on the central square of Osh city to present new special equipment and fire-fighting equipment to the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the southern capital, the Osh Mayor's Office said.
In his speech, Mayor Bakytbek Zhetigenov noted the contribution of the head of state in increasing the technical potential of rescue services for the benefit of the safety of the population, when 100 units of special equipment were transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic as a grant from the People's Republic of China.
“The safety of residents and visitors to the city is our top priority. At present, the availability of modern technology in the fight against natural and man-made emergencies facilitates the work of rescuers in saving human lives and property, eliminating fire incidents. The features of these modern machines are their carrying capacity, engine power and speed,” Zhetigenov emphasized.
Among the 10 units of HOWO brand special vehicles for fire fighting and rescue operations, there are also fire ladders with a retractable shaft of 54 m.
