BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 25. Construction of four plants has begun in the Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan, TurkicWorld reports via the country's Cabinet of Ministers.
The plants will be located in the Naryn SEZ-Kashkar SEZ industrial park.
Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov was on hand to break ground at the capsule-laying ceremony.
The new plants are the Naryn-Shumkar automobile assembly plant, the Naryn Chyrak LED lamp production plant, the Narynkgaz paper products factory, and the Naryn Algyr Technology enterprise for agricultural drones.
Japarov announced an investment of $130 million in the Naryn-Shumkar automobile plant. Upon completion of construction, the plant will create over 10,000 jobs and have an annual production capacity exceeding 20,000 vehicles.
The Naryn Chyrak LED lamp plant will receive an investment of $10 million. The plant aims to produce 30 million lamps annually and generate approximately 200 jobs.
The Narynkgaz factory is set to hit the ground running with a hefty investment of $10 million in the pipeline. It is anticipated that the factory will produce 6,000 tons of paper products annually and create more than 100 jobs.
Additionally, the Naryn Algyr Technology enterprise is set to take the bull by the horns by manufacturing drones for agriculture, paving the way for over 50 new jobs.
"On the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region's formation, we opened 128 facilities by Independence Day, and on October 14, the day of the region's formation, we commissioned an additional 45 facilities.
By the end of the year, another 100 facilities are planned to be opened. Most of the newly opened enterprises are manufacturing, including the Naryn Moto company in the At-Bashy International Trade and Logistics Center, a nail production plant, and other facilities," Japarov added.
