BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 2. President Sadyr Zhaparov of Kyrgyzstan has embarked on an official visit to Italy, TurkicWorld reports via the president's administration.
During the official visit to Italy and the Vatican, there will be high-level bilateral negotiations. During these talks, the complete spectrum of Kyrgyz-Italian ties and their potential for growth will be addressed.
The Kyrgyz delegation includes:
- Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev;
- Head of the Presidential Administration's Foreign Policy Department Muratbek Azymbakiev;
- Kyrgyz Ambassador Talay Bazarbayev;
- Prosecutor General Maksat Asanaliev;
- Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy Altynbek Maksutov;
- Minister of Justice Ayaz Baetov;
- Presidential Chief of Staff Kanybek Tumanbaev;
- Director of the National Investment Agency under the President Talantbek Imanov;
- Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Junushaliev.
Earlier, it was reported that on October 3, bilateral talks are planned between Zhaparov and the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Lorenzo Fontana, and President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa.
On October 4, 2024, President Zhaparov is expected to meet with Pope Francis.
