Turkish MoD issues statement on Remembrance Day in Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. We honor the memory of all martyrs who gave their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and express our gratitude to our heroic veterans on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the Second Karabakh War, initiated by the Azerbaijani Army to liberate the occupied lands, and September 27 – Remembrance Day, the Ministry of National Defense of Türkiye said in its statement,TurkicWorld reports.

"We once again congratulate our Azerbaijani brothers, with whom we are united by the motto ‘One nation, two states’, on September 20 – Sovereignty Day," the statement emphasized.

The Second Karabakh War, which lasted 44 days and ended with a brilliant victory for Azerbaijan over Armenia, began on September 27, 2020.

Azerbaijan annually marks Remembrance Day on September 27 as a sign of deep respect to Azerbaijani soldiers and officers who heroically fought in the Second Karabakh war and gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
