"China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" railway project seeks German cooperation in Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 17. Companies from Germany are being courted by Kyrgyzstan to build logistics hubs along the "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" railway, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov stated during the second meeting of the "Central Asia + Germany" summit in Astana, TurkicWorld reports.

"We have initiated a strategically important and large-scale project to build the railway 'China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan' to enhance trade and logistical connections between Europe and Asia. Successful implementation of this project will broaden transportation routes from Asia to Europe, as well as to the Middle East, the Persian Gulf countries, and North Africa. We are counting on increased German business involvement in establishing logistics centers along this new railway route," he stated.

The President also proposed holding specialized meetings at the ministerial level across all areas of mutual interest.

"Considering Germany's long-standing leadership in the global economy, I am confident that this will allow us to discuss specific proposals in greater detail, leading to tangible results. In conclusion, I want to reaffirm Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation and deepening our relations," he added.

The "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" railway, spanning 486 kilometers, will connect the following points: Kashgar - Torugart - Makmal - Jalal-Abad - Andijan, and beyond a few nations, this new railway network will be crucial for the whole region and give a more varied choice for the worldwide trade system, so providing a dependable and safe substitute.

Once finished, this project will help Central Asia's economic landscape be changed and provide more certainties to world commerce, thereby advancing trade development in the area.
