BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 17. Kyrgyzstan highly values its established friendly relations with Germany, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said during a meeting with German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Astana, TurkicWorld reports via the President's Administration.
"Kyrgyzstan highly values the established friendly relations with Germany, which is one of Kyrgyzstan’s important partners in the European Union," Zhaparov said.
He expressed satisfaction with the increased activity in Kyrgyz-German cooperation, noting the successful official visit of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Kyrgyzstan last year.
Zhaparov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to developing economic ties with Germany, noting the gradual increase in trade turnover between the two countries.
The president highlighted that one of Kyrgyzstan’s key tasks is attracting foreign investment and strengthening international cooperation.
"In this direction, Germany is an important partner for Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan values the experience and knowledge that German companies can bring to the country. Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan is ready to provide favorable conditions for German investors, including various incentives and protection of investor rights," he added.
Scholz pointed out Germany’s interest and readiness to continue developing bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan.
He also mentioned that there are many topics for deepening cooperation between the two sides, highlighting one of the most pressing issues today — the migration of specialists from Kyrgyzstan to Germany, who are of great interest to German businesses.
To note, Sadyr Zhaparov will participate in the second meeting of heads of state Central Asia – Germany.
