Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2023. / Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov today, as part of an official visit to Japan, held talks with head of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Norihiko Ishiguro.
The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.
President Zhaparov, noting that real practical steps are being taken in Kyrgyzstan to improve the investment climate, called on Japanese companies and financial institutions to actively participate in the implementation of investment projects in the country.
In this context, Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that he pays personal attention to the issue of protecting foreign investors and guarantees the protection of investments in Kyrgyzstan.
He focused on one of the important areas of mutual cooperation - the development of information technology.
The president emphasized that in this regard, the country has high potential, which can always be in demand, and in the future, will help promote the digital economy, improve the quality of education, healthcare and infrastructure. The Kyrgyz side is interested in attracting the experience and advanced technologies of Japan in improving the IT industry.
In turn, JETRO manager Norihiko Ishiguro expressed gratitude to President Sadyr Zhaparov for the opportunity to personally meet and discuss promising projects.
He especially emphasized that Kyrgyzstan has very great potential, and the interest of Japanese companies in the country is growing. In this regard, it is necessary to fill the agenda with specific mutually beneficial proposals.
In conclusion, Norihiko Ishiguro added that this meeting will open up new opportunities for the implementation of various programs and projects within the framework of Kyrgyz-Japanese cooperation.
