Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan presents credentials to Governor General of Canada

Bishkek, Oct. 3, 2023. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Baktybek Amanbaev presented his credentials to Governor General of Canada Mary Simon as Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Canada with residence in Washington.

The ceremony of presenting credentials took place on September 25 at the state residence of the Governor General of Canada Simon in Ottawa, the Kyrgyz Embassy reported.

Speaking at the ceremony, Simon informed the meeting participants about the priority areas of Canadian foreign policy and called on the ceremony participants to work together to confront the existing serious global challenges.

Simon also noted that Canada is interested in further improving and developing bilateral cooperation with all countries with which it has diplomatic relations, and called on the newly appointed ambassadors to work in this direction.

On the same day, newly appointed Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Canada Baktybek Amanbaev was personally received by the Governor General of Canada.

During the meeting, Baktybek Amanbaev noted that the country's leadership, led by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, is interested in the comprehensive development of Kyrgyz-Canadian bilateral relations, and as the newly appointed ambassador promised to work closely with the Canadian government in order to improve Kyrgyz-Canadian relations, establish trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties to a new level.

Governor General Mary Simon, having listened to Ambassador Baktybek Amanbaev's proposals for improving bilateral relations, wished the newly appointed ambassador success in his diplomatic activities.
