Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov met with Chen Gang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Communist Party of China of Qinghai Province.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
“The successful conduct of the state visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to China in May this year and the signing of the Joint Declaration on Establishing a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a New Era as a result of it is the confirmation of the good-neighbourly, friendly and mutually beneficial nature of the entire complex of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations,” Zh aparov said, adding that China is one of the main trade and investment partners.
The head of the Cabinet added that just three months ago Issyk-Kul region established sister city relations with Qinghai province of China.
“The Issyk-Kul region has great potential in developing cooperation in the field of energy, agriculture, industry, logistics, tourism and other areas,” Akylbek Zhaparov noted.
He also mentioned the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
“The railway will become an integral part and practical implementation of the initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping “One Belt, One Road”, an important regional project of infrastructural connectivity and will become a bridge not only for our country, but also for the countries of Central Asia,” the head of the Cabinet said.
In addition, the chairman of the Cabinet noted a number of promising areas of cooperation, in particular, designating hydropower, renewable energy sources, tourism and agriculture.
“We have favorable conditions for launching joint projects in the field of agriculture, promoting the export of environmentally friendly agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to China, including the Qinghai province. The Kyrgyz side is interested in strengthening cooperation in the field of animal husbandry, agriculture, production of biological products and bio-fertilizers, in the field of introducing drip irrigation systems for greenhouses,” Akylbek Zhaparov emphasized.
In turn, Chen Gang expressed his readiness to support in all areas of the Kyrgyz-Chinese multilateral cooperation, designated by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and invited the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov to visit Qinghai Province of China on a visit.
