KazMunayGas-Aero weighs participation in modernization of fuel complex at Almaty airport

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. Participation of KazMunayGas’s (KMG) subsidiary KazMunayGas-Aero in the modernization and development of the fuel supply complex (FSC) at Almaty Airport is under consideration, TurkicWorld reports via KMG.

This was discussed during a meeting between Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Management Board of KMG, and Serkan Kaptan, CEO of TAV Airports Holding.

As reported, this format of cooperation provides the airport with a number of strategic advantages. In particular, it envisions a large-scale reconstruction of storage and refueling facilities in line with international standards, as well as the introduction of automated systems for accounting and monitoring fuel movement at all stages.

During the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to deepen partnership relations and move to new stages of cooperation.

TAV Airports Holding is a global operator managing 15 airports in 8 countries. Since 2021, the company has been the main shareholder of Almaty International Airport.
