ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 26. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a phone talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin, TurkicWorld reports.
The two sides discussed the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Russian cooperation.
They stressed the importance of fully implementing the high-level agreements previously reached in the trade, economic, and energy sectors. They agreed to ensure thorough preparations for Vladimir Putin's upcoming state visit to Astana.
The presidents also shared their views on key international issues. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also expressed his gratitude for the invitation to the BRICS summit in Kazan.
