BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 13. Azerbaijan entered into multiple significant agreements with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to bolster green energy collaboration during the COP29 event, TurkicWorldreports via the Ministry of Energy.
The agreements ensure Saudi Arabia's participation in the "Green Energy Development and Transfer Project between the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan."
In the presence of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, the 'Executive Program for the Development and Transfer of Green Energy' was signed by the Energy Ministers of Azerbaijan, Parviz Shahbazov; Kazakhstan, Almasadam Satkaliyev; Uzbekistan, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov; and Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud.
The key document signed was the "Executive Program for the Development and Transfer of Green Energy between the Ministries of Energy of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
Other agreements included the "Roadmap for Energy Cooperation between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" and a "Memorandum of Understanding between Saudi Electricity (SEC) and Azerenergy OJSC on the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of electric energy."
