BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30. Azerbaijan imported 256,644 tons of fruits and vegetables, amounting to nearly $195.8 million from January through September 2024.
Data obtained by TurkicWorld from the State Customs Committee shows that this figure represents a 58.4 percent decrease compared to the same period last year, equivalent to $274.4 million in value terms, and a drop of 44.5 percent in volume, or 205,942 tons.
During the first nine months of 2023, Azerbaijan imported approximately 463,586 tons of fruits and vegetables valued at about $470.2 million.
The share of fruits and vegetables in total imports during this period was 1.34 percent.
