BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21. Azerbaijan exported 19,400 metric tons of aluminum and aluminum products in the first quarter of the year, totaling $63.8 million, TurkicWorld reports, citng the State Customs Committee.
The figures represent a year-over-year increase of $10.8 million, or 20.4% in value, and a rise of 1,363 tons, or 7.5% in volume compared to the same period last year.
Aluminum and related products accounted for 1.18% of Azerbaijan’s total exports during the reporting period and made up 7.40% of the country’s non-oil exports.
Meanwhile, imports of aluminum and aluminum products declined. From January through March 2026, Azerbaijan imported $34.6 million worth of aluminum, marking a decrease of $13.4 million, or 27.9%, year-over-year. These imports represented 0.86% of the country’s total imports over the same period.
