BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Agro Dairy and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, TurkicWorld reports.
A comprehensive press conference took place at the Heydar Aliyev Center in the Samukh district between Agro Dairy and the Hungarian delegation. The event was attended by Tamás Torma, Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan, Professor Csaba Gyuricza, Rector of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE), Ramil Mammadov, Executive Director for Crop Production at Agro Dairy, and Kristof Hartig, Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer.
During the press conference, Professor Csaba Gyuricza announced the next phase of the "MATE Global Azerbaijan" concept, as part of the strategic cooperation established between Agro Dairy and MATE in the spring of 2023. As part of this phase, starting from the fourth quarter of 2024, short-term courses and vocational training in agriculture will be launched at the MATE Global Campus. These trainings will focus on the professional development of specialists in fields such as precision agriculture, technical research, and water management.
As part of their visit to Samukh, the delegation met with Firdovsi Aliyev, Head of the Samukh District Executive Power, and toured Agro Dairy's agricultural fields in the district. During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the company's innovative agricultural approaches and exchanged experiences.
It is also worth noting that the Hungarian delegation held official meetings with the Ganja City Executive Power, the Azerbaijan Technological University, and the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University to discuss opportunities for collaboration in agriculture and education.
