ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 8. Turkmenistan and the European Union (EU) have discussed the launch of a coordination platform for the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor (TMTM, or Middle Corridor) as part of strengthening cooperation in the EU-Central Asia format, TurkicWorld reports.
The development came following the official visit of the EU delegation, led by Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen, to Ashgabat.
After meeting with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the delegation held discussions with Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to developing a bilateral partnership.
The visit of the EU delegation represents a significant step towards enhancing cooperation, opening new opportunities for the development of transport infrastructure and mutual connections between regions.
