BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) provides IT specialists with an opportunity to maximize their potential, the Director General of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Vusal Khalilov said at a conference dedicated to "Cybersecurity for the Green Economy" in Baku, TurkicWorld reports.
"We have already talked about the fact that there is a problem with attracting talented personnel in the country. In the case of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, we are less affected by this problem. Talented specialists are eager to join our team," he noted.
According to Khalilov, highly qualified IT specialists and cyber security experts should be provided with conditions in which they can develop and maximize their potential. He emphasized that the Central Bank offers these people the opportunity to work in such an environment.
"We often talk about the lack of resources in security, a little less in IT, and even less in business. But overall, the level is about the same. Highly skilled people must have incentives to help develop their talents and provide growth opportunities," he said.
The general director also mentioned the importance of all departments working towards a common goal.
"We often hear about the conflict between IT and security or between business and IT. I believe the main reason for this is the lack of a common goal. Management needs to spend a lot of time and effort explaining to the whole team that the organization needs to move in the same direction. There is no separate goal for cybersecurity, there is no separate goal for IT, and there is no separate goal for the business - they are all common goals for the organization. That's the most important thing," he added.
To note, the conference "Cybersecurity for the Green Economy" is organized by the State Special Communication and Information Security Service of Azerbaijan and PROSOL. It is attended by local and foreign specialists working in the field of cyber security, as well as persons responsible for this sphere in state institutions, private enterprises, and organizations.
