BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 1. Iran wants to reach an agreement with the United States, but its positions have repeatedly come too late and failed to meet Washington’s requirements, according to a White House official.
The official said Tehran has demonstrated an interest in reaching a deal, but the proposals it has put forward have not gone far enough to satisfy the US side.
The White House official also stressed that US President Donald Trump continues to keep all options on the table in his approach toward Iran.
The comments indicate that significant differences remain between Washington and Tehran despite suggestions that Iran is interested in reaching an agreement.
