BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 1. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has said that Tehran will continue to resist what he described as US attacks, aggression and pressure against Iran.
Speaking at a press conference, Baghaei accused Washington of targeting Iran’s interests through its military actions and political pressure.
“The United States in their war, their assault, and their aggression against Iran is targeting all our interests,” Baghaei said.
He also referred to US strikes on Larak Island on Sunday night, saying the attacks demonstrated that Washington “keeps committing violations”.
According to Baghaei, Iran’s response to the strikes was justified.
The remarks come amid continued tensions between Iran and the United States following a series of military actions and diplomatic disputes.
Tehran has repeatedly said it will defend its interests, while Washington has argued that its measures are aimed at countering Iranian policies and regional activities.
