Trump calls Iran a “failed and dead nation” amid renewed criticism of Tehran

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. US President Donald Trump has described Iran as a “failed and dead nation” in a social media post, repeating his criticism of Tehran’s economic and military situation.

Trump claimed that Iran no longer has a navy or air force and alleged that the country lacks a functioning currency and is unable to pay its soldiers and police forces.

He also claimed that inflation in Iran has reached “300 percent” and said the country’s leadership is facing “total disarray” and is incapable of properly representing the nation.

The remarks come amid continued tensions between Washington and Tehran, with both sides exchanging accusations over economic pressure, sanctions and regional security issues.

Trump has repeatedly argued that US pressure measures have weakened Iran’s economy, while Iranian officials have rejected such claims and accused Washington of using economic warfare.

The Iranian government has not immediately responded to Trump’s latest statement.

The claims regarding Iran’s economic and military conditions have not been independently verified in the report.
