BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States is “winning against everyone, including Iran”, while accusing Democrats of publishing what he described as “fake polls” aimed at discouraging Republican voters.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump argued that the “Radical Left Democrats” were releasing unfavorable opinion polls as part of what he called “demoralization operations”.
According to Trump, the purpose of such polling is to weaken Republican enthusiasm and discourage the party’s supporters from turning out to vote.
The US president claimed that what he described as the “actual polls” were showing strong results and that political enthusiasm in the United States was exceptionally high.
Trump then linked his domestic political message to the continuing confrontation with Tehran, declaring that Washington was prevailing against its opponents, including Iran.
“We’re winning against EVERYONE, including Iran, whose Country is in Economic and Military Death Spiral,” Trump wrote.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with the Trump administration threatening further economic pressure against Iran while Iranian officials insist that the country’s military capabilities and defence production remain intact.
Trump did not provide evidence in the post to support his assessment of Iran’s economic and military condition.
