BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has met with the newly appointed Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Major General Mohsen Rezaei, during his diplomatic visit to Iran.
According to Iran’s WANA news agency, the meeting took place in Mashhad, where Rezaei welcomed Pakistan’s increasing role in regional affairs and called for stronger unity among Muslim countries.
Naqvi praised Iran’s leadership and highlighted what he described as the “remarkable solidarity” between the Iranian and Pakistani peoples.
The Pakistani minister also called for expanding cooperation and engagement between the two countries.
The meeting comes amid Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to support regional dialogue and reduce tensions involving Iran and other regional actors.
