BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says that during a seven-hour meeting with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, the importance of maintaining national unity, social cohesion and addressing people’s livelihoods was emphasised.
According to Iran’s Fars News Agency, Pezeshkian said the meeting focused on domestic issues and the need to strengthen unity within the country.
Iranian state media reported that Pezeshkian met with Khamenei near the beginning of his third year in office late last month.
The meeting comes amid ongoing political, economic and security challenges facing Iran, with authorities repeatedly stressing the importance of internal stability.
