Iran says 21 alleged Mossad operatives arrested on espionage charges

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 6. Iran's Ministry of Intelligence says it has arrested 21 people accused of working for Israel's intelligence agency Mossad and gathering military intelligence.

According to a statement cited by state broadcaster IRIB, the suspects allegedly collected information related to the Iranian military and transmitted it to Mossad.

The ministry described those detained as "mercenaries" linked to the Israeli intelligence service.

Officials said the arrests were carried out in Kerman Province in southeastern Iran.

The allegations have not been independently verified, and Israel has not immediately commented on the claims.
