BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. China has reaffirmed its support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with the head of the Chinese Office in Palestine reiterating Beijing's commitment to the Palestinian cause.
According to the Wafa news agency, Sun Zhen said China remains committed to providing humanitarian and development assistance while working to elevate China-Palestine relations to a higher level.
Speaking at a news conference at the Chinese Embassy in Ramallah, Sun said that meetings with Palestinian leaders had reinforced his understanding of the hardships faced by the Palestinian people.
He also reaffirmed China's intention to deepen bilateral ties, noting that this year marks the third anniversary of the strategic partnership established between China and Palestine.
Beijing has consistently supported a two-state solution and has called for a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
