BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on the Iranian people to remain united and "stand firm" against what he described as "the enemy," while also stressing the importance of justice toward the country's citizens.
According to the state-run IRNA news agency, Pezeshkian urged Iranians to "fight the enemy and stand firm against them so that we do not submit to injustice and oppression."
The president also said that resisting external pressure should not come at the expense of citizens' rights.
"In the same way, we cannot oppress our citizens or commit injustice against them," Pezeshkian was quoted as saying.
He added that Iran has demonstrated what he described as a "unique model of resistance."
The remarks come amid continued regional tensions and heightened diplomatic and military developments involving Iran.
