BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 28. US President Donald Trump has once again declared that Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon, reaffirming one of the central positions of his administration's policy toward Tehran.
Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Trump said the United States remains committed to preventing Iran from acquiring an atomic weapon.
"Iran will never have a nuclear weapon," the president said, repeating a position he has expressed on numerous occasions.
Trump also claimed that Senator Lindsey Graham had urged him to pursue a diplomatic agreement with Iran rather than "destroying the rest of the country."
According to the US president, Graham advised seeking a negotiated solution instead of expanding military action against Iran.
The interview comes as Washington and Tehran continue diplomatic contacts aimed at reaching a potential agreement over Iran's nuclear program.
Trump's latest remarks underscore the administration's continued emphasis on diplomacy while maintaining that preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons remains a key US objective.
