BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran will be the primary topic of discussion during his meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., describing the issue as Israel's top strategic priority.
In a post on X ahead of his visit, Netanyahu said the two leaders would discuss "all the issues on the table, with Iran at the forefront."
"Our goal is clear: to safeguard Israel's security, strengthen its power and expand the circle of peace around us," the Israeli prime minister wrote.
Netanyahu said the visit marks his eighth meeting with Trump since the US president began his second term, adding that he has met Trump more often than any other international leader during that period.
In addition to the official talks, Netanyahu said he would also pay his final respects to Lindsey Graham, describing him as "a true friend" of both himself and the State of Israel.
The meeting comes as regional tensions remain high and Iran continues to be a central issue in US-Israel strategic consultations, alongside broader security and diplomatic developments in the Middle East.
Observers are expected to closely watch the outcome of the talks for any indications of future US-Israel coordination on regional security, Iran and ongoing diplomatic initiatives.
