BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 24. Bahrain's Defence Force said its air defence systems intercepted several aerial attacks launched from Iran, as regional tensions continue to escalate amid ongoing military confrontations.
In a statement published on social media, the Bahrain Defence Force said its air defence units had successfully intercepted multiple incoming threats. The military did not immediately provide details on the number of missiles or drones involved, nor did it report casualties or damage.
Authorities urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid approaching any unidentified or suspicious objects that may have fallen as debris from the intercepted projectiles.
"The Bahrain Defence Force continues to urge everyone to exercise caution, avoid approaching any foreign or suspicious objects resulting from the debris of the Iranian attack, and report them immediately to the relevant authorities," the statement said.
The military further accused Iran of deliberately using missiles and drones to target civilians and private property, describing such actions as "a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law."
The statement comes amid heightened security concerns across the Gulf region as countries strengthen air defence measures in response to growing regional instability.
